1500 niños de La Mojana Sucreña
More than 1500 children in La Mojana Sucreña benefited from the project to improve the quality of initial education, in the midst of the health emergency by COVID-19.
La Mojana sucreña is one of the 5 subregions of the department of Sucre that has a population with high poverty rates and has a natural wealth that is underexploited in a sustainable manner. Although the population inhabits a territory of ecosystem privileges, the precarious conditions for guaranteeing rights and the inequality gap have been elements that have marked the history of regional development.
Initially the project contemplated its development in person to accompany two (2) Operating Entities that provide the service of comprehensive care for early childhood in the region; However, the health emergency caused by the pandemic led to the reorganization and adaptation of the project towards virtuality, thus allowing the execution of training and accompaniments to leaders and educators of the participating entities to be guaranteed. The project achieved an increase of 9% to 53% in the implementation of quality practices in the initial education scenarios of good practices, framed in the quality variables of aeioTU and in the technical guidelines of ICBF.
"Still in pandemic by COVID-19 we continue to work with all the commitment to accompany the trainers of trainers and educators, in adapting to this new reality and the knowledge of the digital tools necessary to continue providing them with a service sensitive to the relevant situation and of high quality," says María Adelaida López, Executive Director of aeioTU.
This is a project that hopes to replicate its intervention model in this and other regions of the country, promoting a process of systemic transformation in the territories since the development of the potential of early childhood.
